Pongal, the harvest festival was celebrated by showing the children what each day of pongal was about. The children enacted and saw what was done on each day. On the first day of Bhogi pongal people clean their homes. The children cleaned their classrooms and were told about the Swachch Bharat Abhiyan.
The second day is the day people pray to the Sun God. The children painted a beautiful sun and put kolam designs. The arranged for the puja and prayed.
The bull helps in the fields and therefore people decorate and pray to it. The children decorated a picture of the bull with balloons and ribbons.
Finally, people go out with family and friends to have fun. The children played with toys and balls, read books, played with their friends and had fun.Click here for the fun celebrations.
