Christmas 2025 at Ekadaksha was super exciting. The christmas feel began in the first week of December when the everyone at ELC decorated the Christmas tree with lights, stars, and a lot of other christmassy things. Every class was decorated and christmas songs were played every morning.
The children and teachers enjoyed taking pictures with their friends in the christmas tree decoration background.Click here to see their beautiful group photographs.
Christmas celebration was planned and executed by the teachers and volunteers of Express A and Experience 4B - Ms.Sumangali,Ms.Archana,Ms.Akila and Ms.Priya.The celebration began with Ms.Priya explaining about the birth of Jesus. The children entered the celebration hall, where the the teacher explained abou the Nativity scene as well as various aspects of Christma like, the birth of Jesus,Christmas tree, stars and Santa Claus who rides around with his reindeers. The children watched it keenly with interest. After this, they took pictures. They were offered to wear the Santa cap which most of the children wanted to wear it by themselves and kept it till the end of the celebration.
This was followed by a performance by the teachers, a vibrant pair dance for the "Do Si Do square dance" song.

It was then time for a fun game - "The fun cone game" conducted by Ms.Archana.Cones were arranged on a table set in the middle of the hall.Children ran around the table and music was played. When the music stopped, children ran to the table and picked up a cone. The children left with no cone were out of the game. Children understood the game well and as they lost the game with no cone in hand, they really felt bad. There were instances which reflected some beautiful bonding and friendship - when pretty little Safa lost the game with no cone in her hand, Smart Deva came forward to give his cone to her.Safa and Pandi Ashok were the two children who played the final round in which Pandi ashok was the winner of the game.

Then came the big surprise and the most awaited part - SANTA'S ENTRY - the final part done by Ms.Sumangali and Ms.Akila. Santa entered the celebration hall with his trademark jingle bell and music. He looked very tired as he came walking all the way.He couldn't come in his sleigh as his reindeers were lost.So he had come to search for his reindeers who were hiding amongst the ELC children. To find out his reindeers,Santa distributed gifts to all the children. After receiving the gifts, the children unwrapped their gifts- bracelet and rings for them. They wore their gifts on their hands and posed for pictures. Two children among the group received Santa's reindeer pictures and this helped Santa locate his reindeers.Vishal and Pandi Ashok revealed themselves to Santa as the reindeers.Santa then happily took the reindeers, attached them to his sleigh and happily went on a round singing the Jingle bell song.Santa then bid goodbye to everyone at the center, gave them his blessings and thanked everyone for helping him find his reindeers.

The remedial children also had a wonderful Christmas celebration in the evening. The story of birth of Jesus was explained, they enjoyed seeing the display of nativity scene and they took solo and group pictures in the christmas decoration background. They then played the Christmas dice game. In this game a dice was rolled. Each number on the dice has a Christmas based activity against it. Whichever number the child got, they had to do the activity accordingly. The activities included galloping like a reindeer, getting packed like a gift, being a snowman or a christmas tree, making snowfall, jingling like a jingle bell etc. At the end, they received surprise christmas gifts and enjoyed a yummy, delicious christmas snack - cake and pizzas.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and looking forward for a wonderful new year 2026.
