Krishna Jayanthi also known as Janmashtami is a vibrant festival celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna.Krishna is a cherished figure renowned for his wisdom, truth and also for his joyful and playful nature.People celebrate krishna's birthday by offering prayers, singing bhajans, decorating their homes and drawing tiny footprints in their homes to welcome krishna.
At Ekadaksha,Children did puja by lighting lamps, offering flowers and prayers to Lord Krishna.Once the puja was done, they took group pictures with their friends and enjoyed having krishna's favorite snack - Appam and Murukku.
The children then sat with their classmates and the children's handprints and footprints were drawn.Teachers made the outline of children's hands and legs and cut them into handprints and footprints. The lovely, cute hands and footprints of the children were then displayed on the decorative board. After the art works, children played a fun game.Children have to pick up the doll kept in one end, walk in their respective tracks and drop the toy kept in the tray at other end.Obstacles were kept in the path.Bricks were kept and Lotus were stuck on the track. However, there was a catch. If the child stepped over the brick they were out of the game and if they chose the lotus path then they could walk further to reach the other end.
